The Houston Mass Murders were discovered on August 8, 1973, after 17-year-old Elmer Wayne Henley, Jr. killed 33-year-old Dean Corll, in Houston, Texas. Henley and 18-year-old David Owen Brooks assisted in kidnapping and killing some of Corll’s 27 eventual victims.
